Blogging, Mystic Paper & Cool Folks

So I went missing for a period. It happens.Bad. But it happens.Whats new? Lots.
First- I need to discuss a class I taught the day after St.Patty's. An "insightful" blogging class at Mystic Paper,in fine Mesa,Az..
It was the first time I have taught this class. Its a hard one to teach without a computer lab. But we set the class up in two sessions- the first part of class was a get together- think tank and share. Get you thinkin about the what? the why? the who? Why should we blog? What can you do with a blog? Good stuff. Second part included a one on one session with me and my traveling computer and tech lab. Where we created banners, discussed links, pictures, Flickr, backgrounds, counters, technorati, etc... Lots of goodies to be discussed. There is so much to cover.
Anywho- a damn fine class. Ladies I need to thank you. I enjoyed the time together. So thank you all. Two of the students finished the one on one sessions. Blogs looking good! I encourage you all to check them out. I meet with two more today.I meet with two more in the mid of next week. I can't wait to see what we create.
Speaking of cool blogs as well. Fate has a way of working. So in this class we spend some time looking at cool blogs- a favorite that I hear over and over is the blog site of Carol Wingert. It must have been fate - because the day I was traveling in to Mystic Paper to help one student with her one on one session. Who should I pass? Carol Wingert. She is a pleasure of an individual. I highly encourage you to travel to her blog as well. She is also a fine author of a few books you may enjoy.
So keep blogging everyone. Also thanks Judy B for your awesome "Nellie Bly Book" and a fun afternoon. Thanks "Miss M" for a creative time as well.

Here are a few of the blogs to check out:

Thank you for sharing all your wonderful information on the blogging class. I am almost done with my blog and will send you the link soon. Watching your photo manipulation in PhotoShop helped me a great deal.

Thanks for taking the time with us - you are a wonderful and gifted teacher!
