Day of The Dead Fest!

In between being sick I have been out and about with my camera again. Back on the first weekend of November- I was able to spend some time over at the "Day of The Dead Fest" at the Mesa Art Center. "Bravo" to them for hosting this event. It wasn't jam packed. But I enjoyed it. I had a "smidge" of "time" this morning to finally look at those pics. Yes- I said a "smidge"! What is a "smidge"? It's that time in between doing something really important and waking up. Anywho. Thought I would post a few of these. Also -just finished another Blog for a friend. I just finished House of Hullabaloo for Lisa S. If you don't know Lisa- you should. She is a southern charmer. A crafter and a yarn teller! A pure delight! Plus she makes sock monkeys and altered dolls. She is new to the blogging world- so stop and leave a comment if you can. We wouldn't want her to get a case of blogger depression. Nothing like blogger depression folks. Nobody ever coming to your site..... that's blogger depression. Talk soon!

Great job on Lisa's blog! Did she tell you she is published?? Art Doll Quarterly! I hope she will show some of her creations!

Love these DOD pics!! This holiday fascinates me, but also creeps me out. I have enough trouble with spirits of my DDH and sister who seem to enter my thoughts at the most unusual times. Don't think I will invite any others to share my space at home.

I want an extremely cool banner too! Tried to solicit one from you through etsy but see you are up to your neck in work. Email me in a lull (when hell freezes over and you have one, that is!) and let me know what your rates are! I'll likely pay it! Beautifully done as is all of your work.

You need to make little art prints or postcards out of those! They look great. I want to learn how to do that stuff!

Great photos! I am jealous we don't celebrate DoD in Chico because I am told the last one turned into a riot due to too much drinking...the last one I went to was 4 yrs ago in San Francisco and I was hooked! What a great way to honor family & friends who crossed over.
Thanks for sharing! Inge
