Opener for "Portlandia" a new "fav" tv show....
Been away for almost a month from blogland...
I hope everyone is well.
I'm sure as many of you saw....
We were hanging strong in December...
We were hanging strong in December...
Then disappeared...
Then back for the first week of January....
Then disappeared...
Then it went quiet on all tech fronts...
But now we are back..
It is our hope ...to ... never leave the blog
unattended for so long again..
That's the goal.
This was going to be my New Years resolution...
To be a better blogger and tech communicator..
Seriously...
Anywho... here we are.
What have we been doing?
Classes, vendor shows, playing with new product,
art gallery prep, family issues, taxes, kits, graphic biz, bills,
and trying to keep artistic romance alive.
Also watching good television where and when we can...
Also good books.... comic books....and new music...
Especially BBC TV.... we love our BBC shows...
Being Human, Misfits, Skins, and Zen.
Zen?.. anyone know what I'm talking?
Aurielo Zen fictional Italian detective from
British crime writer Michael Dibdin.
I have never been to Italy.
I get done watching...
Makes me want an espresso and a cigarette.
A scooter... a pair of black sunglasses..
also a tailored black suit with a skinny tie.
What books you say?
I got hooked on an old series....
I tried to read them when I was younger...
lacked the maturity and patience.. I guess...
Tried again... and bam got hooked.
Best damn thing I have ever read..
One day... I didnt move for eight hours...
Just sat and read.
Its called the "Lymond Chronicles"
from Dorothy Dunnett.
Its a six book set.
Following a fictional Scottish nobleman,
named Francis Crawford of Lymond,
from 1547 through 1558.
from 1547 through 1558.
Fantastic.
Its kinda like when Lesley got me
hooked on the "Outlander"series by Diana Gabaldon.
I didn't see her leave the house for days..
I asked her what she was reading... I laughed...
Then at her insistence I picked the first one up...
Then we both sat and read the series.
Neither one of us left the house for several days..
Except work and groceries.
So thats what we have been doing.
Be back in a bit...
I leave you with a quick video...
A new musical find for me and my favorite childhood movie..
Mixed together....
Enjoy.
"Jeremy Messesmith" Tatooine...
