Conjunction Junction! Saturday Morning!

Ok folks a new music player for a day or two. This is a short but fine mix of early childhood fav's. Running around my family room on a Saturday morning in my pajamas. Bouncing off couches, fighting for the remote control, and driving my mother close to insanity. After cartoons- dressed and out the door. Making tree branch forts, digging quicksand traps, and making treasure maps. Dreaming of heroes and villains, pretending to have super powers, and buried treasure. My parents read a lot to me as a kid. I had a huge imagination. Still do. However when I think back on things that have shaped me-I need to admit the TV made a huge imprint.
How could it not?
But if you grew up in the seventies and early eighties.
You are joyously twisted. Your twisted because we had joyously warped television with great stuff.
You can't tell me different.
Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew, The Bionic Man(Fighting Bigfoot),
The Bionic Woman, Star Trek repeats, Electric Company,
The Muppet Show & Sesame Street - so many talking muppets,
Sid & Marty Krofft- "H.R. Pufnstuf", "Land of the Lost" and more...
Batman,Wonder Woman, Fantasy Island
Banana Splits
Anything that people could think of. Space, heroes, fantasy, spies, monsters, anything and everything. I feel sorry for kids today. They have lots of choices, but not as many that breed buckets of creativity.
Maybe I'm wrong?
But when I think back on the shows and cartoons that shaped me.
I get joyously giddy and twisted. Plus we had all these shows with moral reminders hidden in them. Not to forget educational nuggets.
Schoolhouse Rock! Electric Company! Afterschool Special!
Even the commercials- the Indian with a Tear?
Grand stuff.
With that I give you today's Friday video picks and a special playlist!
If you want to watch and hear the videos- you might
want to pause the music player up top.
Talk soon!

This first clip is dedicated to Chia (Happy Birthday):

This one is for Jennifer!

Thanks Mike! That was the perfect morning 70's fix. I just watched many a sid & marty krofft youtube with mocha in hand. Tucker watched this morning too. (When Tucker was teeny tiny his favorite video, other than Nightmare before Christmas was School House Rock, he used to sing conjunkin junkin.) I say start molding their little minds the 70's way- joyously twisted and warped!
