Grandmother's Woods/ Borax & Honey Beeswax Collage

Just finished this bad boy.
This has been on my mind for awhile.
I wanted to crackle the heck out of a beeswax collage piece.
I needed to add a soldering component.
I wanted lots of distress techniques.
I wanted to tell a story of childhood.
I wanted a sweet bird of youth element.
An old time latch key kid lost in the woods.
A touch of dark.
A tale of after school.
A tale of my grandmother.
This is what I came up with.
It has almost everything except the kitchen sink.
Over the top?

Perhaps?
I think this will be the first class offered this spring.
I will need to wait for the go ahead.
Just needed to share.

Another great one. This one is kind of funny for me because for the first time I've looked at one of your pieces and had thoughts about how I might have made it or changed it. This one started talking to me instantly and now I need to clear off my work table and create something. Thanks for sharing.

This is brilliant. I so admire your work and all the elements that you put into it. I wish I lived in the states and could attend your classes..taps the sparkly red shoes together and sees if my wish comes true ;-)
