A photo series of my trip. Need help...

Ok Bloggers here is an odd post for ya. Not so odd if you know me. So I'm going on a trip in a few days to good old New Jersey. I will be blogging about my trip while out and about. One of my habits on trips is to go camera crazy. Looking for textures for Photoshop, great scenes, the odd , the weird, anything with a great story. When travelling I like to bring an item that I can sneak into each photo. Sometimes I don't need to sneak. I create a little series using this object or item. The concept is very much like a travel gnome. However when flying and sitting in the airport a man with a ceramic lawn gnome tends to get stares. Trust me I know.
Homeland Security frowns on such things.
So I need something pocket sized.
So here are my choices.
I'm having trouble deciding which one to take.
I also had a good friend Lisa dig out a few things for me to choose from.
So here is the list - cast a comment- let me know your thoughts.

Spiderman

Salt & Pepper Shakers- this might be tough- but good when eating or having a certain drink.

Batgirl

Fred From Scooby Doo- he is dressed dapper and ready

Dried Frog- this might throw Security- trying to explain a
dried frog in my pocket might be tough. But I like it!

Fry Guy

Little cowboy

I vote for Fred from Scooby--Doo. His face looks like he's excited (which you will be from traveling, and snapping pictures), or that he's REALLY needs to seek the restroom.(either/or expression WORKS while traveling).

don't know why, but I just like the two cactuses. they just look so "incognito"...like two fleeing renegade cactuses making a run for it to New Jersey. Just odd enough for me ;)
Are you countin the sleeps? ;)
cheers! l.i.sp.

i'm thinking batgirl! however, i DO have a few tiny gnomes that don't get out much... let me know, you're welcome to one of them, i just dressed them up for halloween! dressing the gnome garden for holidays has been one of my latest projects...

I vote for the little cowboy. He's kind of sweet and cute but he is also quite unusual. I've seen lots of cactus nicknacks and all sorts of little action figures and dolls. I almost voted for Fred because he tugged at my heartstrings and made me remember all the times I watched that show with my little ones. But in the end the cowboy won me over because he reminds me of you.. kind of sweet and cute but oh so unusual!

Go with the little cowboy. When people give you odd looks, you can just let them know you are from Arizona and we all carry little cowboys around.
Good luck at Ranger U!

I say the little cowboy - too cute to be a bomb. And, I just love the idea of country boy meets the big city. My best wishes for a very safe, fun, enlightening and creative journey!

First choice would be dried frog. Second is Bat girl.
Have you ever considered a rubber duckie?
Have fun!

1st choice is Batgirl. 2nd choice is lil cowboy. Lil cowboy would probably suit best since you are from the Wild West West out in the big city.

I of course would vote for Batgirl! Because of my love of the Bat Man. However, there is a little Cowpoke waiting for you here at Mystic Paper.

Hands down, the cowgirl. A dried frog???!!! eeeew!!! GROSS!! Besides I would be he is pretty brittle by now and might turn to dust in a pocket. Try explaining dried frog dust! LOL!!!

I guess I'll jump on the bandwagon and vote for the cowboy. He's very cute. I was going to vote for Fry Guy, but he seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis. Are you sure it's not Fry "Girl"??

My first instinct was the cowboy, so I'll go with that. He might be the ONLY cowboy in Jersey!

I vote for Bat Girl-not only is it a fabulous outfit but it also should raise eyebrows just enough to have her in your pocket. Have a lovely trip. Scarlet

OMG, Mike, I had a travel gnome too, on my trip from AZ to MN in 2001! Mine was Barrel Man- a gift from a work friend from the Dominican Republic- and he was featured in many photos along the way. He had something very special hidden beneath his barrel! Imagine Barrel Man, in all his glory, photographed at Mt Rushmore. Ah, good times.
Regarding your choice, I'm torn between Batgirl because she's such a hottie and the dried frog because I once had some of those toxic Colorado River Toads floating in a big pickle jar of formalin. A warped story which can definitely wait for another time...
Have a great trip, regardless of who you bring~

I forgot to tell you that my 6 year old carefully considered the choices as well, and picked Fred from Scooby Doo.

The author of jackandcatcurio.blogspot.com has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: Pizza is overwhelmingly the most popular thing people throw up Thanks for the info.
